Getting To Know A-Reece
Lehlogonolo Ronald Mataboge [born March 27,1997], better known by his stage name A-reece, is a South African hip hop recording artist and songwriter from Pretoria West, Gauteng. A-reece first received recognition in 2013, following the release of his debut mixtape ForeverKing. Shortly after the release of ForeverKing, A-reece was contacted by Nakedi Ramothibe who became A- reece's manager (Now Former Manager). A-reece's music later got recognition from South African music producer/engineer pH and subsequently got affiliated to his record label Raw X, in 2014. In that same year, Reece released a freestyle single, Cassper's Picture, which was followed by a YouTube video. A second single was released,"Come Up" on the eve of his birthday online. The song received good feedback as it also made it onto the Local Top 5 Charts (5fm Ms Cosmo show). Come Up made it to the no.1 spot and an official music video followed the success. A-reece performed alongside the likes of Khuli Chana, K.O, Kid X to name a few for his EP Launch that took place on the 28th of March as a fundraiser for his school.
